   And a little baking soda mixed in will help remove the residual antifreeze taste. I do that after I do the chlorine tank sanitizing to help remove the chlorine aftertaste also.

	Did my un-winterize today and got all the pink stuff out. Hurray, though the Sierra is full of snow, we're over our hard freeze time here in the Carson Valley so we'll just dip below freezing, maybe into the 20's for a few hours. Nothing that my little electric space heater can't handle in keeping the pipes nice and warm - with open drawers and cabinets to let the air in. One thing to remember when you get your pink stuff out: When you fill your water heater, don't forget to burp it. Like a baby, it gets full of "gas" and you need to let it all out or it'll be unhappy and spit on you when you try to use the hot water.

	Thanks Guys for the help. In the fall, I used the pump and loaded the sys with at least 3-4 gal of the pink stuff. A couple of weeks ago I drained the fresh tank, added a little Clorox, pumped it through the sys. Re drained the fresh tank, added fresh water and pumped that through all valves. So the other day, got it home and hooked up shore power, 1 hrs later, went out to the Pod and found the pump running for no reason. Got power because its running. Today checked the filter, LOADED with white plastic shavings. Took two screws out of the pressure switch and got some water, but nothing great. Started the third screw and the Dam Broke, the flood started. Guess the pressure in the hot water tank blew back towards the pump. Lesson learned again about the hot water heater having air pressure. ( see another post about me getting wet) OK started the pump and it shut off. It's now working and I didn't fix anything. Now I wonder if I have water inside the pressure switch. Never got it off to check any of the gaskets, but water did come out the screw holes when I removed two of them. Well time will tell. Thanks again.

	And to add to StephenH's comment, that pink stuff is really cheap. Wallyworld has it in large 2.5 gal. jug for about the same price as a gallon in a most RV stores. It is a whole lot easier to use the antifreeze than to replace broken plumbing parts.

	And that is why I use the winterization valve and tube and use the pump to pump RV antifreeze through the system instead of just relying on air pressure to blow out the lines without using RV antifreeze. The RV antifreeze will also protect the pump and strainer bowl as well as the lines.

	Same thing happened to me last spring. Had a crack in the plastic bowl that holds the small filter just upstream of the water pump. Between the pump and fresh tank. Was sucking air. It froze and cracked. CG

	If the pump head or one of the tubes or pipes froze during the winter, at or around the pump, it will crack and suck air or pump water, continuously, depending on what broke or split. Or maybe your antifreeze siphon valve is open.

	Just put water in the tank (E-1/3) and opened shower cold side and it runs, shut of shower valve and pump keeps running. I'll unload the cabinet , unscrew the fake wall then eyeball the pump in the morning. Sun is gonging down, Thanks Guys.

	I just checked the Main Battery disconnect switch and it was off. I turned it on, turned pump switch on and it started running. I'm still connected to shore power. (Navy Term) I didn't check voltage on the batteries, but I did keep them charged over the winter and have no reason to think they are bad. I'll put a V meter on them later.
