Hi All, I have a 2016 pod 179. I need a new anode rod, can anony give me a part number I know it's Suburban.

It's a standard part.

Even can be found in my local Tru Value Hardware store. Very common, standardized part.

Don't replace it prematurely.  It can look like holy crap and still be doing its job as well as when it was new.

Replacing the anode rod can you use a generic one or does it have to be Suburban?

length matters but as Ben Herman said they are very common. I get mine at a local plumbing supply store.

They are made of one of two materials: magnesium or aluminum. Magnesium is more effective but disintegrates more quickly as a result. I would advise sticking with magnesium, considering how inexpensive the rods are compared to a new water heater.
