I installed one a few months ago. 30A 120V RV outlet, 10 gauge wiring and a small amount of conduit and hardware to set it up next to the outside main breaker box. I use a 50' 30A extension cord from there and plug the 'Pod's cord into the extension with my surge protector. I have those set up with a cover to keep them dry if it rains.

With a 15A outlet, you can run the lights, refrigerator, and furnace. Or you could run lights and a small ceramic block heater if you run the refrigerator on LP. You would likely need to run the water heater on LP also.
With a 20A outlet, you could run the lights and AC if you run the other appliances on LP.
With a 30A outlet, you have the flexibility to run multiple high-demand items. Probably not all of them at once, but you can run the AC and at least one other high-draw item at the same time.

John, you are correct for basic running or charge. Simple. Many are not GCFI but still CB protected. If you want to run a Pod and all the systems at your house, you need a 30AMP power station. I have one and I use it all season long. Just choice, Bro.

i think it would be easier to just get an adapter plug to go on the end of the 30 amp cord.  Just don't turn everything on at the same time.  That circuit should be protected by a GFI outlet.

+1 - it is a 120 hook up. Your power cord will not fit a 50A 220 outlet.

120 only. In most cases you can get by with just a 15 - 20 amp plug in.

I want to install a 30 amp outlet outside my home. Do I need a 30amp 120 or a 30amp 220.
