I'm transplanted from Kansas. I don't care for nuts in baked goods in general, so pecan pie holds no appeal.

Apple for me, especially if it's Dutch apple.

Ahhh the BBQ war is on now! I'm firing off my salvo that without a doubt the best Carolina BBQ is Lexington style bar none. Lexington Barbecue (known by locals as Honey Monks) is #1 with nipping closely at its heals the Bar-B-Q Center. Nothing like smoked pork shoulder cooked in a real hickory wood fired pit served with your choice as fine or course chop or better lean brown sliced, with a side of BBQ slaw and extra BBQ dip! Yummm!

Of course maybe I'm a little biased? LOL

I have never tried Key Lime pie from the Carolina's but we had a key lime tree in our backyard when we lived in south Florida and I would say a pie made at home would be best. There is a restaurant located I think in Key Largo that is known for their key lime pies. I agree with David sending samples to be tested would be good idea that way you would get a opinion from many people.
