I doubt it, especially with the current optional awning on Pods. The wall is specifically reinforced for the awning and that is NOT there for the RDome. If in doubt call Forest River.

I bought slides from a sail shop that will fit my keder on my R-pod 189.

I will use a Harbor freight 18x11 heavy duty silver tarp with those slides to create an awning.

It is my understanding that the normal awnings that get installed instead of the R-dome have reinforced interior members to take the strain.  So trying to install one your self might be problematic.

Which is partly why I went looking for slides. So I could have a quick, easy to put up awning for a day or two, or go ahead and set up the dome if we are going to be there longer.

Options are a good thing.

I just made an awning that will fit in the keder rail. Look in the pod mod section  for "179 awning".  It works perfectly
we made an initial attempt with the sail slugs--it was not satisfactory.  The slugs were independent and would not easily slide, they bunched up in the channel and were a total pia. just my experience

Martisawnings.com

We had the dome, it did not fit our camping style. We have used the marti’s for many years and works well for us.  All awnings are custom made to your specifications and fit into the keder rail just like the dome. I highly recommend

I took a Harbor Freight tarp and cut off one edge. I then folded the for edge over a 3/8 inch braided nylon rope and secured it with duct tape. That fits very well into the order rail. The ends are supported with adjustable poles made from PVC pipe with end caps.

Voila, a $35 awning.
Life is good.
