When I read about the bracket failure on Pods did your bracket itself break or crack or did the bolt assembly come loose and fall out?

Neither I used the posts and a warning and added a bracket to my black tank. No issue with grey. I've used this forum on numerous occasions to give me alerts on issues , and I fixed them before they had a negative effect. Better to be proactive than reactive.

Twice! After the first time, a second bracket was installed at the factory when it went there for repair. Two brackets weren't enough. The bolts in both came off and it was worse than the first time since the second time the valve came open and the contents of the black tank were left on the highway. I made a new bracket that is completely different from the first ones (see my mods). We already had one long trip and are in the middle of another one. This one is holding firm.

My bolt came loose and allowed the tube to hang.  I was lucky enough that there was no damage.  I replaced bolt and added an extra heavy duty wire tie as a backup.  Has been ok for 2,000 miles now. No problems to date with grey water tank.

We have R189, both metal straps had broken after 500+ miles. We used bungee cords as temporary fix till we could schedule repairs at our dealer.

The dealer repaired both "no charge" with the same type of metal that straps? Both were broken again in less than 300+miles!๐Ÿ‘Ž

We used the suggested advice of others on this forum, and secured the termination pipes to the frame with 2"& 3" clevis hangers.
๐Ÿ‘ˆThey work great!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Only had to add lock washers to prevent ๐Ÿคช nut from coming loose.
Thanks again for the tip on the cleavis hangers!

Funny, I just read your post about the bracket breaking as I was waiting for our broken bracket to be replaced. I had never heard before about this issue, but sure enough, the black tank bracket on our 2015 178 Rpod broke as we were traveling in the Quebec boonies. Fortunate we found a Rv dealer in a smsll town who got us in right away to fix it. Hopefully it will last for the last 2500 miles. No problem - yet- with our gray water bracket. Thanks for your posts...I donโ€™t feel so alone. Ha.

I had relayed my broken hanger information to the factory. I also am planning on attending the 10 anniversary rally at Green River Lake State Park in Kentucky next month. Since this is an official R-Pod rally, there should be a factory representative there. If so, I plan on bringing this topic up and see if there anything is in the works or has been done to fix this recurring problem.

Our bracket strap broke in our 4 year of owning it. Did a repair and strengthened the other bracket just in case.
Have gone from Home to Chincoteague so far and it has held well
