Same here, my new TV has a bottle jack for changing spares so I am good to go - dont need to carry one in the trailer (which is good since my storage compartment is already full of other stuff).

Greetings:
I'm 78 and I'm not going to change a tire along the road. I have AAA road service which covers both the TV and the RV. Free flat tow up to 200 miles. It's worth the cost to me for the peace of mind. Several companies offer this type of service.

This is kind of over kill ( lol ) I carry a 20 ton bottle jack with me, you never know what you may have to jack up lol. I stand it on a 6X6 and use a 2x4 on the top of the cylinder length wise to distribute the weight. You only have to lift enough to get the tire off the ground.

We tow our 177 with an Explorer most of the time. Like Vann we stow ours in one of the rear outside compartments. It doesn't take up that much room and being in a plastic storage box, is relatively easy to move around.

If lifting at home, (and so far that's the only place I have needed to), I use my rolling floor jack. For emergency use on the road, we carry a 2 ton bottle jack. Some worry the bottle jack won't fit under the chosen lifting point, but I have a whole bag of Legos that don't know if they are under a flat or filled tire..

We have a 179 and also use a floor jack from Harbor Freight. We store it in the outside cargo compartment. It is in the original box and sits on lt’s side immediately adjacent to the back wall of the under bed storage area. It is almost an exact fit. Hope this helps Vann

I'm guessing that most of you who use floor jacks tow with pickups. I don't know where I'd put a floor jack.

2.5 ton floor jack here. I have 2 older ones that I picked up curbside during clean up week. And 2 new ones from Harbor Freight. They really are not that expensive.
The 2 free ones just needed oil. Being essentially a hydraulic jack, if they have a little leak, get low on oil they don't pump anymore. Take out the screw, fill full of oil, replace screw = good as new.
