Hello all !!!!
I bought an inverter for boondocking uses. I plan to install it at the dining table, on top of the tiny wood ledge there. Fits perfectly. Good location for coffee pot, laptops, etc. I wonder if I can run the heavy cable down through that wood-paneled wall covering? I want to place the inverter and inline fuse breaker on the ledge, drill a hole for the cable, drop it down through the panelling, to a hole going outside to the battery. That's the initial plan.... Am I wrong? My question is really about the limitations and obstructions in that wall, that might prevent it from being used as a chase. 2000 w inverter, 40 amp fuse, heavy cables, rpod 171 2010

The parts of the wall that don't have 2x2 aluminum tube are filled with closed cell foam insulation. It would be very difficult to drop wire through. Even with a sturdy fish tape it would be a challenge.
