Planning a New England Excursion for 1st 2 weeks of September! We have our destination campsite at Lake Wentworth, NH. Any recommendations on stops mid-way between NC & NH. According to Google maps, our halfway mark puts overnite around Wilkes-Barre PA. Thanks for any & all replies! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ~Bruce & Linda

Safely completed our New England Pod Excursion just in time to return to the Carolinas for Hurricane Florence (now a tropical storm & mess๐Ÿ’ฆ)
Great trip, but met no fellow R-Poders along the way? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘†

Boondocked at Gander Mtn in Roanoke,VA.
Camped in a nice private campground near Bennington, VT.

Took the scenic Molly Stark Trail from Bennington to Wilmington, to Brattleboro, VT! Camped at Robiesยฎ RV park near Wolfeboro, NH.

Boondocked (with permission) on a nice church lot in Beverly, MA. Then pod-dled down I-95 to I-84 and camped a few nights in Dingmans Ferry National Park along the Delaware River!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

From there we made our way to Philadelphia, PA where we boondocked curbside for a few nights visiting friends in the area.

Finally, we made our way South down the coastal routes to the Chesapeake Bay crossed the bridge & tunnel ($18 toll) and boondocked in Richmond, VA before returning home by way of Myrtle Beach, SC!

Great to be home, 2800+ miles later, but already "Itching" to hit the road again in our comfortable RPOD 189!
Cya Out There!๐Ÿ˜‰

Sounds like a great trip! We are bit further north . about 3.5 hours north east of Bennington. We are heading south weather/damage permitting for our yearly excursion to the outer banks in search of the elusive red drum!

Didn't see your first post, could have suggested some things to see in Vermont.

Abercrombies, We have a RP189 and struggle with storage for our shorter trips. How did you manage storing supplies and clothing for your trip?  Thanks for any tips you can offer.

Hi Zubrew, We faced a similar challenge with our R189.

So we first tried the Rubbermaid white wire closet shelf someone suggested.
But we didn't like the look and it needed support in the middle when we positioned it above our bed or above the foldout couch in the pod. Also, I was reluctant to drill holes in the Pod walls.๐Ÿ‘Ž
So we returned it to Lowes and tried the Allen & Roth 72"x12" Java Slatted Wood Shelf
(Item# 972661) also comes in the Distressed Gray color that matches the cabinet color of the pod.
It looks great but was an inch or so short when we rested it on the window valence boxes.
We bought wide felt covered chair levelers, predrilled holes and then screwed them into the ends of the Slatted shelves so the shelves adjusts to fit snug to the RPOD walls without scarring or scratching.

Each shelf holds four or five light weight fabric storage cubes (also purchased @Lowesยฎ, perfect for lightweight socks, clothing, paper products, Tupperware etc.

We take the shelves & cubes down when we are traveling (storing them on the bed).

My wife also tried an idea she saw on Pinterest where you hang a clear vinyl shoe pocket rack on the bathroom door. Convenient for rolled up towels, wash clothes, and toiletries.

Finally, we tow with a pickup truck and the bed has Gatorโ„ข Hard, Tri-fold Tonneau cover.
We store other extra heavy clothing, soiled clothes, and assorted supplies in (4)clear rubbermaid bins w/secured lids.
Hope that's helpful, it works well for us! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘†
