Can anyone offer advice on how to repair the skin on my 2008 R176?  Colorado Springs had a vicious hailstorm yesterday and now I have a couple of breaks in the skin from tennis ball size hail.  

The A/C cover is also damaged, but I have repaired that successfully in the past using fiberglass mesh and resin, so that isn't a big deal.

Is the damage on the roof? Has it penetrated the skin? Is there a Marine repair shop near you, you can ask for advice? First I would ensure it was covered and weather proofed as best possible. Is it just a couple breaks not many and widely spaced?

2008? do you mean 2018? it matters.

That was a bad storm, I know of at least one Pod that had a hail stone go all the way through the roof.

2008.  It would be nice to have a 2018, but I'm still happy with the one I have.

     Yes.

Has it penetrated the skin? 

     The hailstones did not go through into the interior, but the outer skin is definitely compromised.

Is there a Marine repair shop near you, you can ask for advice? 

     Yes, but I'd rather find out what has worked for other owners and do the repairs myself.

First I would ensure it was covered and weather proofed as best possible. 

     It is covered, just in time for the t-storm that is brewing as I type this.

Is it just a couple breaks not many and widely spaced? 

     I have found three breaks about 2 inches long each.

THANKS. I would ask the marine shop for advice, not so much for the repair. I have repaired breaks in the skin on fiberglass sheets, honestly not from hail. The roof is a fiberglass sheet. I would resin and patch each break. Sounds like you are familiar with that process. I did a search on repairs and didn't find a post addressing same. Lot experience from folks like FurPod, end of the day I think I would use a fiberglass repair kit and patch the perforations.

With it being an early pod, and considering it's age, and the fact that it is, or was white, I would literally go get a fiberglass repair kit at autozone, and DIY it. Solid bet for insurance to total a Pod that old with that damage.

Ok, well.. "literally", I would just go get one off my garage shelf.. but.. you get my drift. LOL

Another idea, though I have not tried it myself..........

My "5th wheel neighbor" had a rock go through the "nose cone" of his rig. He went to the home improvement store and purchased a "bathtub repair kit" - made for acrylic and fiberglass bathtubs. He did this a couple of years ago and it is holding up fine. The color (white) matched pretty good, too. It is probably similar to what has already been mentioned as it is a two part epoxy.

thanks.  I actually bought the thing thee years ago from the first owner who used it exactly twice in 7 years and it was immaculate inside and out.  Couldn't beat the price, hate the thought of parting with it and trying to find a replacement.

thanks for the tip, I'm going to check it out.  I also thought of using marine grade silicone especially because it is flexible, very durable (even below the waterline on my boat), and white, just not sure it would seal completely.
