The first time the Audiovox unit wouldn't work was the remote in the unit was not working and could not change radio stations manually. The dealer installed a new unit and remote and after 2 days in camp the display went half out and completely out. Back to dealer for another new unit. Is anyone else having this issue?

Welcome to the forums.

We've not had any problems with the unit in our pod. The joint between the screen and the body does seem a little fragile, so we use a bungee to keep the screen secured in the up position while on the road. So far so good.

We did have a similar Audiovox unit mounted under the cabinet in our kitchen at home several years ago that was very short lived.

I haven't heard too many problems with the TV/DVD player, especially your type of problems.  Hope you get a better answer or have the problem solved.  We opted out for the TV/DVD player when we ordered ours.  Our plans were to get a larger TV or use our lap top instead.

Sorry about your problems.  I haven't heard of that happening before.

We looked at 3 dealers for our Pod, The first said the entertainment unit was available in Target for about $130., so he did not order them with the Pod's. He also said every unit was bad and he was replacing them constantly. The second dealer swore the awning was unmanageable and had problems so he did not order them. If you wanted an awning you could order it from Forest River.  We have no problems with the awning, I use a painter's/drywall platform to stand on and lube the tube that slides into the Pod, 10 minutes and I'm done! Where we bought ours the dealer did not order the microwaves so we bought one from camping world. He thought they were too much money from Forest River, and not everyone would want one.

I have the 9 inch tv/dvd/radio combo, the Audiovox VE927 in my rpod.  It had 3 RCA jacks on the back which the instruction manual says should provide output to a receiver or amplifier.  I have just one question.  I saw a post on one of the rpod forums that an individual could only get the rca jacks to work when in dvd mode, but in radio or tv mode they sent no output to the amplifier.  I have just one question.

For those of you who use the RCA Jacks to send sound to an amplifier does it work in any mode other than the DVD mode.  Mine only works when in dvd.

Thanks

Dave

Does anyone have problems with reception . I have replaced the audiovox TV with a 19" Samgun flat screen.   With both TV's when I walk in the trailer the recection breaks up. Anyone having that problem??

The only problem I have is very poor TV reception.

Ours has been OK.  A couple camp grounds we were not able to get a station, but no one else did either.  In one we had nearly 40 stations.  With the tiny display it is hard to watch except from bed, but it works.  I am getting a small boom box that runs on batteries for when we don't have AC.
