Hi everyone!

Thanks to you all for all the years and years of knowledge you have contributed to this awesome forum.  Plenty of interesting reading ahead!

We have been tent campers and decided to move to something more comfortable after I retired.  We were looking at the R-pod 179, Lance 1475, Jayco Hummingbird 17RK, Passport ROV 170RKRV, and Minnie Drop 1790, when a 2016 180 popped up on Craigslist at a great price.  We were the first to call, and made a deal.  We're driving down 400 miles to pick it up on Sunday.

This will be our first travel trailer although I have towed before.  Here is our tow vehicle, a 2011 Suzuki SX4 AWD:

We're open to any suggestions or hints you have that will get us up to speed quicker.  We're planning to shake down ourselves and the trailer this summer, then head out for a 2-month tour in the fall.

Wish us luck!

Thanks for the welcomes, everyone!

And I have to admit, I put that picture in of a Suzuki pulling a double pontoon boat as a joke.  We're actually going to be pulling the 180 with a 2002 Toyota Tundra, at least at first.

I posted a picture of my Smart Car in front of our Pod and got a reaction.  I truly pull with an F150 and think your Tundra will do a better job than y0
your Suzuki.

Welcome to the forum.  I did think you are quite 'adventurous' to tow with a Suzuki, or you are only going to tow it a short distance.  Using the Tundra, you should not have any issues.  Again, welcome and hope you thoroughly enjoy your 180 as you travel across this great nation.

Thanks, I think it'll do better too.  The R-pod's light, but it would sure push the Suz around!
