So last night we were coming back from a concert.  It was about 10:30 PM and we passed a R-Pod just west of Alamogordo, NM.  This made me wonder how many tow at night?  I try not to for a number of reasons but I am curious.
Enjoy Life!!

Not part of our "plan", but we've been on the road at dusk and dawn. I can imagine situations where we might be on the road after dark, but not unless forced.

+1 - Not normally part of my travel plan. But could see it if necessary, I like visible travel and plan accordingly. To each their own.

We don't plan to do it, but over the years we have done it a few times, accidents, emergencies, changes of plans..

I turn on my under body lights and rock and roll on down the highway. Big smile

I try to avoid night driving at all costs.  After killing 31 deer with my 94 F-150 (and that doesn't include the ones I have hit and maimed) I really dislike night driving.  With the exception of only a couple times, all deer hits/kills have been either during the night or early morning like 4:30 - 6:00 am.  This goes for hitting all the other things like coons, skunks, porcupines, oppossum, ect.  Hey, it'a a jungle out there, especially at night.  I am like Mr. Carter:  visibility is a good thing!

I've never hesitated to drive at night.  I figure that's what headlights are for.

We don't mind driving at night but usually try to keep our travel days around 5-6 hours and like stopping at a KOA with a pool and hot tub!

I am a morning person, I wake up early and go to sleep early. But when it comes to driving I prefer to drive at night less traffic, glare from sun,and heat. We travel back and forth a lot between south Florida and middle Tennessee almost all interstate driving and prefer to drive through Atlanta between 10 pm and 3 am. I grew up in Miami and dread traffic jams, I like to keep moving. Everyone is different, I think one should drive whatever time that they feel the safest.

We try to drive non interstate during the day, but will drive on the interstate at night. We try not to drive secondary roads at night. However, sometimes you just have to keep going. Then you just go slower and have good headlights

We have been on the road after dark on a few occasions. One was on our first trip when we were trying to get to our daughter's house in time to see the Christmas program our grandchildren were in. We didn't make it. We pushed long and hard on that trip. We don't do that anymore. However, in winter when the days are short, we have not always gotten to a good stopping place before sundown. In that case, we will go on, but only until we can find a good place to stop for the night.
