Dicor lap sealant, self-leveling for horizontal or Non-sag for vertical surfaces is the most common sealant used. Clean the old sealant with denatured alcohol and apply new lap sealant directly over the cleaned sealant.

Wondering if anybody has some recommendations for sealing roof penetrations. I have a rpod 179 that is 9 months old. I live in rainy Washington and cover my rpod with a weatherproof cover during winter. I noticed that the caulk sealing the awning seam to roof has curled back and appears to be in need of replacement. I went to dealer to pick up new stabilizer jack under warranty and asked about using endurabond roof tape. He absolutely said not to use as it was for a temporary fix. He recommended a silicone caulk ( Boss manufacture ). He said the endurabond was for use on EPDM roofs which I do not have on rpod. I have read good reviews on endurabond tape. Only thing is it does not stick to silicone so if you have silicone seal on roof it would have to be removed. Anybody used roof tape products for sealing roof penetrations?
