Just wanted to post a quick note to introduce ourselves. We settled on an R-Pod a few months ago and finally made the jump and ordered the new trailer. We're getting the 179 in the Hood River Edition.

Even though we're from Wisconsin, we bought the trailer from a dealer in Colorado so we could get the HR Edition (helps that daughter and son-in-law live in Longmont and we've got a new granddaughter out there to visit).

We'll be picking up the trailer on April 23rd and testing her out in St Vrain for a few days before heading back to Wisconsin with the trailer behind our 2017 Ridgeline AWD.

Happy Camping!

Glad to have you on the forum from one on the other side of the 'pond' (Lake Michigan).  Longmont is a spectacular place, we have been there a few times, our destination every other year is RMNP, Estes Park.  You will certainly enjoy your 179, and this is the forum to get all your ????? answered.  Also if you do Facebook, there is a ton of activity on the RPod Facebook site.

Welcome and congratulations from another 179 owner. Ours is a 2016, but it now has had a number of modifications (see link in signature), some due to an accident, the aftermath of which meant a trip to the factory for repair. Other modifications were to make it more to our liking. There is no other RP179 like it. Big smile We have had a number of trips with it and really enjoy it. I hope you have many fun adventures and make many great memories in the process.

Welcome!

My wife Cindy and I are new here also. Ordered a 189 that will be here in early June.

Come fall we will be headed from Fargo ND to Richlands NC to see our grandkids, 6, and 5, boy and a girl.

After that, its the sky is the limit and we are off adventuring. Anything to stay out of the snow and cold through one more winter. First year we are thinking mostly SE states. After that who knows what will happen.

I would like to introduce ourselves and say thanks for having a type club/forum for R-pod owners.  We recently purchased an R-pod 190, and immediately spent 3 weeks in it at Nashville and Gulf Shores.  Love the Rpod.  We live in the Missouri Ozarks near Branson and plan to take several short trips in our area, as well as the Cessna 150 Fly-in in Clinton Iowa and Oshkosh Wi. this summer.

Hope to meet other R-pod owners down the road.

Congrats on your New 179! I've been researching for a little more than a year and the 179 is
my first choice. I'm curious about the Hood River Edition. Do you have any pictures? What extra does that entail?

Happy Travels!

Welcome to the "179 Club"! We bought ours last summer and have loved every minute in it so far. That's a very good idea to stay in the area to try out everything on the new camper. We bought ours at a dealer several hours away as well, but stayed in the area for the first night. Glad we did because we had issues with the water heater running on propane (defective circuit board) and a lack of a switch (the installer just wired it directly to the 12v system) on our rear view camera. Back to the dealer the next morning and everything was good to go in less than an hour. Haven't had any issues with it other than that.
