2, I just climbed up onto the roof and did the 3 stage Mieguiar's treatment on all that I couldn't reach from a ladder.  I also touched up all the Dicor caulk around all the roof openings after cleaning it really well with denatured alcohol and a brush.  The thing I avoided was walking on the roof as it puts a lot of weight in a small space.  I just laid down on my side and slithered around.  And if an old calorically challenged grumpy old man like me can do it, anyone can.  Maybe it was a miracle that I didn't fall through, but we've had rain and snow since I did it and no signs of leaks and the fiberglass skin didn't crack under the load.

So, it's Victoria Day weekend up here in Canada and I was planning on waxing our Rpod for the first time this weekend.  After cleaning it this weekend, I realize just how difficult it can be to reach the entire roof.  I'm hesitant to put my full 200lbs on the roof... I don't mind "slithering around" (I'm sure that will amuse the neighbours to no end!) but does anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks

Walking all of your weight is on your 2 feet. How many square inches?

Slithering there is a lot more square inches making contact, so less load per square inch.

I'm sure the day will come when I'll be slithering. Probably 2-4 weeks away yet.

Compare to building some kind of a scaffold that would let you walk "Close" to the pod.
Slithering does not seem so bad.

I use a method I learned from our local rattle snakes.

My brother has a much larger T.T. than my 177 but he uses a telescoping handle apparatus (similar to what you use when painting walls/ceilings) and attaches a brush/sponge to the end.  Easy to apply, a bit more effort required to remove the wax, but not much.  Pretty slick.  I am a little guy only 5'10", (i am shrinking!) and still 5 lbs. below my high school weight of 165 so I could slither but since I have gorilla arms (long)  I can just make it w/o have to do the snake dance on top.

I have a piece of plywood that I cut to fit across the roof, as I move the ladder I can move the plywood to let me kneel on roof and wash/wax it. I'm a light weight but was concerned about weight on roof. Worked so far. I can see roof and issue up close.
