FOR SALE $12,600:

Forest River R-Pod 171 Hood River Edition with some very nice upgrades. You won't find another Pod like this one! This Pod is more versatile than most in that you can not only use it in parks, but it's modified to be very effectively used for boondocking. You can tow this Pod with a smaller vehicle, as the weight has been reduced by 250 pounds over other PODs of this model (advertised tare weight 2205). The body is narrower than other RVs and the shape is more streamlined making it easier and more efficient to tow. No extended mirrors needed for most vehicles!

We really like the floor plan of this lightweight RV. You have a permanent bed that doesn't need made and broken down every day, a good sized dining area (we've had 5 at the table), a good sized 3 way refrigerator, efficient galley area, a bathroom and shower, and plenty of storage. Very comfortable for two people, but can sleep four.

Hood River Edition gives you higher ground clearance and all-season tires (including spare).

Here are some of the upgrades we've done to the pod:
* Top of the line Lifeline AGM 220 AH battery bank consisting of two 6V batteries in series.
* Upgraded converter/charger to a 55amp model (charges super fast when on shore power or generator).
* Victron battery monitor (best you can get).
* "AM Solar" 100 amp roof mounted solar panel (high end dense compact model) and outlet for remote solar.
* Top of the line Victron MPPT solar controller and monitor. All of the electrical system/solar updates are worth over $3,300 and were installed less than a year ago.
* Maxxair roof vent with remote control (no need to close it in the rain, much quieter, less elect. draw, AND you can turn it on from bed). This is better in every way than the stock fan.
* Skylight in the middle of the roof lets in lots of light improving livability and saving power.
* All interior lights have been upgraded to LED to save power.
* 12volt and USB outlets have been added in the dinette and sleeping area for charging devices or using auxiliary/reading lighting.
* Water filtration system for sanitizing and improving flavor of water.
* Oxygenics shower head saves water and works way better than stock.
* Microwave/convection oven was removed to increase storage and save weight as we didn't use it. The oven is included and can easily be put back in place if you choose (or I can do that for you).
* Custom spare tire cover.
* Cover for the entire pod is available.

We've really enjoyed this Pod and hate to see it go. The only reason we're selling it is we now have a van conversion that we will be traveling in. Hopefully we can find a nice home for our Pod. The Pod is currently ready for full evaluation of all the systems and the season. Serviced and ready for your adventures.
