That's okay. I already returned the pulls. We'll stick with stock for now. We were looking at others that have more depth for a mounting screw, but haven't decided on one of them yet.

Welcome to the forum.  I have a 2017 179 hope you have as much fun with yours as my wife and I have had with ours.

Stephen,
They make screws for cabinet pulls that break off.  You can get some at Home Depot to mount your pulls.   If you cant find them I may have some you can have.

Sounds like "inertia" is the most applicable answer. They've done it this way for a long time, and it seems to be working for them.

Funny, my wife calls me "No App", I like manuals, real ones, printed, I can write on, make notes on, call me Ol School.

You can email Forest River and they can send you a file that you can print out if you wish. Sadly, as said here, its a generic manual and not model specific but has allot of good information. Why FR doesn't make a R-Pod manual for each model is beyond me?

Welcome and congratulations! We also have a 2016 RP-179. I concur with the advice above. I hope you have many great adventures and make many memories on your travels with your RPod. We have enjoyed ours, and I have done a number of mods on it. I am about to replace the cabinet and drawer pulls with ones that don't have the parts that stick out (rounded). Once I do so, I will add pictures to my mods list.

Edit: the pulls I bought won't work. The screws for the current handles are countersunk so deep that the new screws would have to poke through the pull in order to get it tight enough. Back to the drawing board. Ying Yang

I went on line and got the manuals for each specific piece of equipment, then printed and put in a large binder I carry in Pod. When I have an issue, I have a manual. Many resources.

We have a 2016 179 HR and it came with manuals.  However, they were the generic Forest River manuals and had many instances of mis-information; i.e., the size of the hitch ball is shown as 2 1/4 inches. In my opinion,  you will be better served by getting manuals for the individual systems (heater, refrigerator, etc.) and asking questions on this forum.
Enjoy Life!!
