I put a valve drain on mine, no more cap. It extends down about 2 inches, works fine.

Then they could be damaged by thrown road debris? |

Didn't realize the pods were different. Couldn't you add a threaded brass elbow in place of the plug and convert to barb fitting, then screw a valve bracket to the frame like ours has?

We do the same as Wepod, open up the lower point drains and ho water tank then drive the back roads for a few minutes. Drains it all!

One can push up on the bottom of the tank and get more to drain. However, that is far from an ideal way to get the water out. If the bottom of the tank were supported so that it did not sag, then I don't think it would be so much of an issue.

I found the only way to get all the water out of the tank is to leave the cap off and drive about 10mi.

Pods don't have this type drain. Ours is just a plug. My only wish about the drain plug is, I wish it was at the lowest point of the tank. One tends to think a tank drain will drain ALL of the water out of the tank. Maybe its me.
