We have the 171 and I’m struggling with what to do with the toilet paper roll. Hubby won’t ‘drill’ into the walls - I use 3M removable hooks for everything else but can’t figure out how to mount something for the TP. I also need to be able to keep it dry when I shower. At this time the TP sets on the ground & I just place it outside the door when I shower. Ouch

We used a roll holder from Cottonelle..Many have bought water proof wall mount holders and installed them. There is at least one that gets set into the wall part way..

I'm not sure of the layout in the 171 bath. We have the 179. I use an over-the-tank spare roll holder purchased at Walmart. I reinforced the inside bottom edge of the plumbing opening in the wall behind the sink's bottom cover. The holder then hooks over it and holds the roll up off of the floor. I did find though that we still need to remove the roll when showering since there is enough splashing to get the bottom of the roll wet if we don't remove it.

I have thought about this topic too.The best solution is to do as you have done. When using the shower put the TP outside the bathroom. Simplest solution.
