Camper purchased in OH but registering in NY

We purchased our 2018 RP-189 at Couch's RV Nation in Dec. and planning to pick it up in March. I'm a little confused about what is needed to register it in NY. I've been told several different processes by the salesman and the finance person.  Has anyone on here done this before and could you share what worked for you?  We need to have the title in NY to register the camper and now they are telling me I need to get our DMV to request it from Bank of America.  The NY DMV usually isn't too cooperative so I'm thinking I'll be making multiple trips to the DMV.
