Hello All,

After months of research we finally found our pod... purchased in November 2017. We both just retired and are eager to hit the road. Steve is new to the camping concept and I haven't done any for about 13 years. We live in Washington state where we have hundreds of options within just a couple of hours from our home. We are busy(I should say ,Steve) doing modifications and outfitting our new toy. I'm sure he will have many questions !!! From what I have read this forum is the place to get those answers. We are excited to start new adventures in our Rpod.

We have gleaned much good advice and wisdom from others for the 5 plus years since joining this forum.  Enjoy your new toy, ask questions, there are many seasoned veterans who will help.  Have a happy 2018 and many memorable adventures with your pod.

Welcome and Congratulations!

My wife and I enjoy our 179. I hope you have many fine adventures and make many great memories in your travels. I have done a number of mods, some of which might be useful to you. You can see them in my mods link (in signature).

Likewise, I bought my 179 last April and have greatly enjoyed it. I put together several 179 specific videos in the link above my signature below. Congrats & Enjoy!

Congrats on your retirement AND on your 179! We love our 179 so much we even camp in it here at home (where we have a real house and everything, but camping is more fun). You are in a great area, no two ways about it. We're just down the road a couple states from you, in the coast mountains. By the way, there's a group of us meeting in Cannon Beach next August, I'm not the organizer but you should be able to find it here on the forum by searching on Cannon. I don't know if there are spaces left but might be worth a try. Welcome to the forum and happy travels!
