Yeah, probably the old 8" rounds, amazing, you could see them leave the artillery piece. Great memories.

Blessed with 7+ inches of snow here this week. Wait, this is the SOUTH and were not suppose to get that four letter word from the sky because here the world shuts down! No school, business close, heck my newspaper or mail didn't even come. Hmmm .... no mail maybe that's a benefit? Oh well our little winter hibernation soon ended because the high the day after was near 50. Go global warming! LOL

We got about 5-1/2" here in Wake Forest. My yard is shaded, so we still have quite a bit of it remaining. Because it has been below freezing at night, ice is still a problem even if the main roads are clear.

Today is first day since last MON I could get off my hill and to main road. Snow moved into the Carolinas. Snow was slow to melt due to frigid temps.

Your driveway must not get any sun.  Neither does mine.  It probably still has some snow.  It's long and steep but it's gravel.  I put chains on the FJ and it goes like a tank.  I have more side-to-side chearance than you, which also helps a lot.  Chains are great but it's kind of a hassle to have to use them only on the driveway!  The streets have been clear and dry for days....

I wish you guy's would of kept the snow over on your side of the hill!

Three days after the snow they finally run a plow down my street and I'm thinking why bother! For all you Northern pod owners who plan on moving South this is some of what you have to look forward to come winter time. Wink
