I use my R-Pod 176 a couple times a month in the winter, so I don’t want to winterize it.  Will a space heater keep everything from freezing if it gets down to 20-25 degrees?

No. Lots of plumbing OUTSIDE the heated envelope.

I do not know why winterizing causes so much discussion. I use antifreeze. It's quick, it's easy.

Look on winterization as an insurance policy. Let's say you are sick, or out of town or otherwise unable to get to your Pod and a sudden winter storm comes in that, as usual, the weather bureau had not forecast.

Your Pod becomes an icicle and all the valves and tubing get to be replaced! 10-15 minute of your time would have entirely prevented this.

Put simply - There are some chores that just 'come with the territory' of buying a travel trailer.

That is very risky. We went ti the winterization class given by our dealer when we bought our first r-pod. They said that if it is going top be under freezing( the whole day) for more than 2-3 day straight you need to winterize to protect your plumbing and water heater, which is be damage and is very expensive to replace.

I am with Mark, Happy, and Leo on this.  For the sake of a couple $$ do you really want to risk big $$$$ for a repair job by not winterizing, especially given the fact that it only takes at most 15 minutes to do a thorough job using antifreeze, much less than that if you use air pressure and blow out?  The risk is not worth a few dollars and minutes you may save by forgoing this procedure.

I winterize, to easy to do. I live in TN and I use compressed air, mainly because I am retired and it gives me something to do, I like being busy and not hurried. As I have said before, if I lived in a colder state, if I didn't have capabilities I have here, I would certainly look at anti freeze, I have nothing against it. The reason there are so may opinions, is there is so many variants. To each his own.

Hey MCcarter, Being retired, come out to Arizona for the winter, then you don't have to worry about winterizing. My winter Resort is only $1300 for a 6 month stay, 12 miles east of Q-site, and there is always something to do. 500 sites, all retirees. Love to see you.

I'd be interested in details of the resort too. My wife wants to do a desert trip. I love the desert. I used to sell rattlesnake skins at the Quartzsite swap meet, 20 years ago they said 500,000 people came to Quartzsite during JAN and FEB. LEO - the Colorado river runs thru Yuma and all along the AZ border, bass and catfishing used to be real good. Also when I was there Mule Deer and bird hunting was a dream (in season). Very different place.
