OK coopercdrkey - but what was the mfgr/mod # for the warm LED lights or "bulbs."

We found a source for LEDs that were both dim enough for comfortable viewing and of a much warmer color temperature than the bright whites.

Originally, we installed them in all the overhead fixtures of our 177.  Then we had the opposite problem of not enough light for some activities.

What we have now which works well for us is dim bulbs in the bath, both single fixtures over the dinette, and in one of the double fixtures at the bunk end.  Brights in the other double bunk end fixture, over the kitchen area and in the double fixture at the dinette end.

"Mood lighting" when you want it and task lighting when needed....

Just posted this in another post, we put two Arcon dimmable light fixtures in our 179, easy direct replacement.  Got them at E-trailer and we are very happy with the results.

HI, Jato - tks for the input - ours are truly LEDs and as you can tell from other posts, my objection to their brightness is flying solo. As in your case, I'd also prefer a warmer lighting source - so this winter I'm going to remove one of the ceiling pucks and see how it is connected - then seek a warmer, less bright replacement. I'll post what happens. Checking briefly on Amazon, there are 12 vdc LED fixtures available (many come ready to use on 120vac and use a power supply to reduce to 12 and change to dc - like a USB charger does to 9vdc or 5vdc. I'm on the hunt.

Am not familiar with how the lights are installed in the newer models.  On our 177, it came standard with incandescent bulbs (yes, it is that old) so we replaced the bulbs to save on battery use since we mainly boondock.  Many choices from the 2700 K (yellow) to the 5000 K (extreme bright blue), we decided on the 2700 K bulbs, the light is very similar to the yellowish color of the incandescent bulb.

Not in the rpod but I've put automobile window tint inside the lens, just laid it in there and didn't take the backing off the tint.

I have added dimmers to my truck camper LEDs and doing so would be almost identical to those in my RPod.  Adding them took a little bit of work but doable for almost everone.

This is similar to what I installed:

Has anyone put dimmers on the LEDs?    The lights are far too harsh for relaxing!

I saw a post on the Facebook r-pod site where somebody put dimmer switches on them. And then somebody else chimed in with they actually make replacement ones that you can dim by touching them numerous times.

I agree, don't think they dim with time, more so getting used to. I have not changed mine, so I use the lights to illuminate as required. If we are in dinette area I use bathroom and maybe over the kitchen window light. If in the rear bed, I use the dinette light maybe. One thing I will say, is when you have an issue, those bright lights are helpful. Some folks use window tinting film to shade the lenses and I use a night lite because I will trip over a rug. In my 178 the Jensen center blue light is an excellent night lite.
