We found a cheap place to store the RPOD for the winter (about an hour away) and have gone into a real funk.  No more trips for a while.  Cannot even go out to the RPOD to work on it.  I think I am suffering from RPOD WITHDRAWAL SYNDROME!  Help.  Does anyone else have this?  What do I do?  I tried watching football Sat, Sun, Mon and Thurs but thats not enough.  My neighbor said go on vacation, but how can I go back to flying in airplanes, packing half the clothes I need and sleeping in strange beds!  I need my RPOD.  I have had some relief planning future trips as they take significant time to plan.  Hope to do Canada and Newfoundland as well as Michigan.  As well as hitting many baseball parks (Detroit, Chicago, Cincinnati).  April cannot come fast enough.  Whats an RVer to do?  I guess I can wait until the winter RV shows and walk around in a dream state.Cry

An RPOD withdrawal syndrome, also called an RPOD discontinuation syndrome is a set of symptoms occurring in discontinuation of trips taken with all models of RPOD travel trailers. The risk of a discontinuation syndrome occurring increases with time away and length of use.

Richard Cindy,

I'm with you, my Pod is at house and I piddle with it. Spouse deployed to Kuwait in JUL so my last trip this year was the KHP Round Up in JUN. Been in a funk.

LEO - to top that off I haven't been fishing this year. Double negatives.

I am not quite that bad yet. The trips are done for this year, but, I am taking the pod to the casino next weekend and spend a day camping in the R.V. area. Then I will be putting it into storage, and i can begin to experience the full blown effect of the disease. I used to hate April, due to tax payments must be paid, but I think regaining use of the pod might make even that, a welcome event.

This is a great place to avoid withdrawal symptoms. A little virtual podding.

Also, what helps me is getting ready for Murrells Inlet trip in February. That means:

Tear down and clean/lubricate all reals
Check all rod guides and repair as necessary
Spend hours watching YouTube videos about catching speckled trout and redfish in Murrells Inlet
Buy new tackle, a couple of Cajun Thunder Poppers and D.O.A. shrimps
Watch more fishing videos
Buy a couple more rods and reels even though I really don't need them
Buy more tackle for new rods and another landing net
Keep eye out for delivery truck and intercept before wife sees it

February won't get here fast enough!

My wife and I visited our 179 in storage yesterday after it has sat there for weeks. It looked really lonely.
