we bought our 170 this week for delivery in April.
Trying to get up to speed on what is in it, it has a different sound system than the old Jensen.
Does anyone know what the make and model are?
Note that this one comes with load range D tires instead of C.
Thanks

I can't help you with the sound system, but congratulations on your new R-Pod. We have the 2016 RP-179. I have done a number of modifications on it to make it more to our liking. I hope you have lots of fun adventures and make many good memories in doing so with your 179.

My understanding is the new system is a Furrion DV5700. That's what was in the show model at the Goshen Rally.

I just bought a 179.  Despite FR's web site saying the 179 comes with a CD/DVD player, the unit I received does not have a disc player.  Looks like when they switched to Furion, the disc was eliminated....

The model is a Furrion DV7100, no disc player.

No manual, but found one on line

I don't think you will miss the DVD player. We have the Jensen unit with our 2016 RP179, and have yet to use the DVD player. What I have done is digitize some of the videos and play them on a tablet. I could connect it, or a computer, to the television and use that as the display to play movies from there, but neither television nor movies have been high on our priority lists while we have been out in our escaPOD. Since much has been moving to Blue Ray, the DVD player couldn't handle those anyway so a separate player would have been needed for those. Better to get a separate player that can be upgraded separately from the stereo unit.

I am an old fashioned guy and a big music lover.  I have tons of CD's and music concert DVD's and Blu Rays.  I also have a small but not often viewed collection of movies.

The good news is that you can pick up a compact Blu Ray/DVD/CD player for $50-$100 these days and I'll probably install it on the floor of the closet.

I think we fired up the DVD on our 3rd outing. It wasn't like we planned it or anything, but we had been talking to neighbors in a nearby camp site. "Something" came up, and they said we "had to watch this movie". Well, it seems they had their DVD library with them, with that title in the collection. They loaned it to us for the evening. I remember enjoying the movie at the time, but I can not remember the name of it. Confused
