The link below will give you all the information you need to know for inspecting and repacking wheel bearings on your Pod. The Rpod uses a Lippert axle and depending on the axles weight capacity i.e.. 3K to 8K weights, the hubs have different bearing sizes and replacement parts. The easiest way to find out what axle you have is to crawl under the Rpod and look at the sticker located in the center of the axle. It will tell you the weight and model number of your axle. Once you know this information, simply go to the link below and find your axle size which then gives you the part numbers and size of bearings you need to order. Always go for the double lipped seals because they will last longer than a single lip seal. On page 22, the mainteance interval clearly states to inspect and or replace seals and repack every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Page 25 fits most of our Rpods and you will find an exploded view of the bearings, seals and part numbers. To view the pfd file, just copy and paste into your browser. The last link is a web site that sells all the seals and bearings at a very low low cost. Check it out.

Been to your neck of the woods a few times....Philmont...in 1993 and again in 2012. Good memories but tough being on the trail for 11 days.
