Has anyone put on extensions on the end of the awing poles to make them taller? We find it very low at the end of the awing if we extend it all the way out.

You can adjust the angle of the awning at the mechanism end. There are screws and washers that can be used to adjust the pitch. Go to Thule's site and download the manual for pitch adjustment. You should have received a little pack of screws and washers. The instructions should be there, but in case they aren't, follow the link and click on the User Manual link at the top-right side of the page.
