Have turned off gas, removed all power waited 5 minutes and restarted but heater does the same thing each time I have cycled it...who sells a replacement heater for the r-pod?..

Check the proper setting of the bypass valves!  That is almost certainly your problem.

+1 on the valve positions.  That would be the simplest solution and a highly likely one for someone new to Pods and RVs.  If you don't know what we're talking about, just ask.

If there really is a problem, I'd check first to see if whatever acts a thermostat on the water heater can be replaced.  I'd guess it would be $10 part.  If it comes to replacing the water heater, check on line.  Camping World probably has them on the shelf; Amazon probably has them.  There are a ton of other places on the web.

One additional thing to check before you replace the water heater is the outside shower.  Make sure that the hot and cold valves are shut off and not just the shower head button.  Ask me how I know .....

Absolutely, the 99.99999 percent answer is your bypass valves are set wrong. In fact, in 10 years, and very active on 3 different brand forums, I can recall exactly one bad WH.

Funny you should mention that, I had the same thing happen to my 177 just after purchasing it.  And yes Furpod's answer 99.99999% chance of it being the bypass valves being set wrong?  Yes sir, I belong to that group!!!  Hasn't happened since.

Just had our rpod in for the same problem. Had the gas lines cleaned and a new reset panel installed. Got back home and the heater would not ignite. I called the service manager and he asked us to bring it right back. It was the circuit board. He lifted up the mattress and showed us where it is. He said we should try moving it to see if it would work. That did the trick. I am sure the circuit board get jostled around when you are driving. We will try this next time it won't light.
