After a week in Düsseldorf, Germany, I just saw my first Caravan. Can't identify the model, although it does look interesting and must be light! BTW, Altstadt and altbier is an amazing combination. Not to mention pork knuckles and bratwurst!!

Looks like an older model of a Dethleffs. I think most European travel trailers are build very light because of the smaller tow vehicle there.
I makes me so envious to hear about the good Schumacher, Fuechschen and Uerige Ale you had! I was born and raised in Duesseldorf and i still miss it a lot.
Friends just send me a very special mustard from there. It's called ABB Bergrath's sel. Wwe. It's produced since 1726. It is simply the best of the world.

OK guys, brought you back some gifts!!

For Kos. Here's some Üerige, füchschen and schweineschnitzel.

Oh! And the brochure!

For Leo. This is easy. You get a Düsseldorf sampler! Schlüssel Alt and Pils, Schümacher Alt, König Weissbier and a plate of pork/gravy, sauerkraut, red cabbage abd mashed potatoes!

For David. You might have to share! A sausage sampler, bratwurst with potato salad and a couple more beers (Frankenheim and Schlüssel Alt) to wash it down!

For everyone else. We can pass around some flammkuchen with salami and gouda and onions. Note RV park on opposite bank of Rhine over my niece's shoulder - https://rheincamping.com/. 30 minutes train ride back to Altstadt in Düsseldorf. The public transportation system is amazing. We were given unlimited passes with our hotel room.

I should add that although the bier and brat research project was a big part of the visit, the main reason I was there with seven others in my family was to support Team USA track and field multi-event athletes (women-heptathlon and men-decathlon) @ The Jim Thorpe Cup in Düsseldorf.  My nephew, Tim, is on Team USA. It was a great and intense two day competition. USA women dominated Team Germany and easily won the women's cup. Team Germany dominated USA men this year. Note that men were all awarded a large bottle of Frankenheim at the medal ceremony!

Just a couple of shots out of hundreds I took.
Trey Hardee (Olympic Silver, two time world champion) attempt @ 5.15 meter Pole Vault.

My nephew Tim unloading another one of his 64 meter+ javelins.
