Found lots of videos on Dexter Easy Lube axles and how to lube, but I have the Lippert axle.
The grease access cover and all look the same.
Anyone know if you can lube them the same as Dexter Easy Lube.
The manufacture site does not make reference of this procedure.

Thanks,
I sort of gleaned after quite some time searching that the procedure was the same.
I would be really swell if Lippert had a more informative web site.

Just don't overgrease or you'll blow the seals out !, I think a once a year repack is better than ever greasing

With the Lippert and Dexter axles, one can't overgrease if doing it properly. The excess grease is forced out the front and is then wiped away before putting the rubber plug back. The proper way is to rotate the wheel while pumping grease in. That helps distribute the fresh grease through the bearings. I just did this today with my Lippert axle.

Is there any special fitting needed on the grease gun? I'm about to embark on regreasing the axle on our 179 before a trip to Colorado in a few weeks.

Update:
I greased the Lippert axle as per instruction on post here and what took a long time to get out of the worthless Lippert site, and successfully greased the axle. Spun tire and pumped out old grease through the front by adding new grease via gun. This took a long time. Wife unit spun tire while I pumped grease in.

Thanks all for your input!Smile

No. It is a standard Zerk fitting so any old grease gun will work. Use a good quality grease and you should be okay.
