We have had an Rpod 179 for about a week.  Will be taking it out soon.  This is a huge step for us.  Over the course of 40 years, we have moved from backpacking to car camping, to car camping with a large tent and REI cots. NOW we have made the leap. I am having a great time decorating the interior which I find to be really bland. Fun stocking it with kitchen items etc.  Since we are used to simple camping, we are finding it to have a lot of extra space.  Ha ha - I'm sure we will fill it up soon enough but at the moment it is less than half full.  I am looking forward to not having to rely on a cooler with floating food items as the ice melts. Fun times ahead!
Quiet is the new music.

Congratulations and welcome! And I understand the huge step. Not yet ready to give up backpacking and tent camping but by the time that happens it should go smoothly as we just LOVE our 179. And as others have pointed out here on the forum, coming back from a long day of hiking or kayaking or fishing etc. to a comfy bed (and being able to stand up, for the tall people especially) is a huge benefit. Whatever gets you out there and having fun, is the best choice. Yeah, interior bland but you know what they say - accessorize, accessorize, accessorize :-) Have a wonderful time and hope you tell us about your adventures :-)
