Hey All,

Enroute to Alaska with the POD. Its already a great trip. Question. Our hot water heather does not seem to be heating the water to as warm of a temp as is used to do. We have been letting it run for 30-45 minutes and it only comes out lukewarm whereas in the past it came out hot to the touch ... ideas?

Did you remember to reconfigure the valves when de-winterizing?

Sounds like to valve isn't quite turned all the way or you might have blown the water heater elemoent. Can get them at Lowes pretty cheap.

Are you using the electric element or the gas? Suggest using the gas (if not already) to see if desired temp is achieved. If water gets hot then a pretty good chance that your element is shot. If water is still Luke warm, then the cold water side is mixing with it somewhere. Most likely a valve.
Hope that helps.

Check to make sure the outside shower valves are completely shut off. Leaving them open allows the hot and cold water to mix.

I was just about to post this. I read about it on Facebook, I think. In that case, the valves were wide open but the cutoff switch on the shower head was engaged.
