As soon as this arrives, you can have my 178 RDome! Big enough for billiard table, lap pool and wet bar! Yeah, we're camping now! Big smile

I had the same issue. Very difficult to pull through, hanging on the screws holding the track to the rpod and then coming completely out of the track as if the open of the track was too wide. While I didn't replace the screws with flat head screws(GREAT IDEA), I pinched the track about every 12" and applied silicon to the inside of the track. Now it is sooo simple to install the R-Dome. I do occasionally hang on the track screws, but outward force at the point of the screw solves that problem.

I have noticed each time I install the R-Dome, that the track scrapes off slivers of the plastic from the piece that goes into the track. So, yesterday, I took a file to both ends of the rack and smoothed so it wasn't so rough.

Here is what I did, I used 2 battery operated drills and put a Phillips bit in one and a drill bit to enlarge the tapered hole. First removed the screw with the phillips then used to other drill with a small bit to enlarge the tapered hole until the screw goes in almost flush, goes fast

Have only been here 3 months. Lived in NC for 30 years before coming to K'ville to be with family and retire. I don' t like I-40 running right through everything. And no downtown out here in Farragut/suburbia on the West side of Knoxville. But I have barely begun to have time to get out and about. Especially with finding a tow car and then the Pod. There seems to be a lot of things to do, though, and quite a bit of outdoor related activity.  Housing is inexpensive, but sales taxes for cars, campers, etc. are out of site. Car insurance is high too. No state income taxes. No freezing cold or, to me worse, no constant dreary/cloudiness that MI seems to have. Loved the people and the scenery and the water in western MI. Glad I got to go to high school there. Go GH Buccaneers.

I not only put silicone spray in the track I replaced the screws with flatter ones that don't catch.  RDome goes right in by myself.  Love my R-Dome.
