First tow and ran into 12 to 15 MPH wind. Some wiggle, but not bad sway. Using a Curt weight distribution hitch without sway control. Looking for a new hitch with sway control. Suggestions ??

My first suggestion is to weigh your trailer and tongue. You want the tongue weight to be greater than 10% of total trailer weight, preferably 11-12% or more if your tow vehicle can tolerate it. That will reduce sway tendency.
Then, you can get a friction bar for sway control, no need to change out the whole weight distribution hitch. That's what I use. But, the way to think of sway control is as suspenders. The belt is getting the trailer front/rear weight distribution correct so you don't have any sway tendency to begin with. Like this: |

Question about best tv ball setup. I am picking up a 2012 Ford F-150 with a 2" receiver.
Wondering what the best setup is for towing an RPOD 190? Thanks!

Nice looking truck. Are you thinking you want a weight distribution hitch? It will most likely tow nicer for you, but probably optional for that truck. I'll let the F150 folks chime in...

We pulled our 177 for nearly 6 weeks last year with a 2011 F-150 using only a Curt anti-sway bar in the Rockies and to and fro from northern Michigan. We put on over 7000 miles in the process. No problems. So far this year we have put on just over 1000 miles using a newer 2017 F-150 3.5L with Ecoboost, again using the same Curt anti-sway bar. And again, no problems.

So I bought a Blue Ox WDH. Suppose to be the best. I have been told that without it in N.E. should be fine as the pickup I bought has built in anti-sway. Will try it without it and will put it on when going from NH to WY next year!
So this is a class IV receiver. Rated up to 12,000 lbs, but the pickup I have is at 7700 lbs towing capacity. So really just trying to find the correct ball for the hitch. I know there are many types that go into the receiver and have adjustments, etc... depending on the application.
