   Sounds like your brake rotors are warped.  Probably 60 bucks for a pair of new rotors if you know how to install them yourself.  Can't believe they didn't diagnose what was wrong and charge you to fix it.  I have a 2003 Tacoma TRD double cab and pull a pod with it.  I love the Tacoma...our second one.
