Frankly I don't know if there is a reg. Couldnt think of a better way to carry, the generator with the Yukon. Didnt want the gas smell in the pod or the tv. Plan is to put on the ground when running. Propane is always off when not in use, and I will watch out for varmints. If we had a better hitch in the back i would have prefered that.

I
extended the outer joist tubing by inserting a 5' piece of oak into the tubing
and let it stick out 20", I also extended the spare tire hitch. Then I fit
a spacer between the trailer and the box, the spacer is attached to the trailer
and the box is attached to the spacer.

It looks like you are incredibly skilled at modding, but it seems like it would make the pod imbalanced. I try to keep as much cargo weight above the wheels or in front of them, and this is the exact opposite. Do you use a WDH?

I really like the Hockey Puck on top of the bottle jack to raise the gen up a little. Only in Canada. Goose

This is what I was thinking... but a WDH is to take a load off the hitch and put more on the front wheels of the TV and the trailer.. Scratching my head, but it seems that the trailer would be tail heavy not hitch heavy. Do you have sway when driving.. ?

Yes I use a WDH, I would not leave home without it. I have (the original Equal-i-zer sway control hitch). No problems with any kind of swaying.

I mean to say sway control, but instead I wrote WDH. Having a cargo unit this large hanging off the back would definitely lighten the tongue.

I'm curious what your tongue weight ends up being. Any idea how much that cargo box weighs?
