Gotta' LOL at marwane! He's our most innovative 'Podder with consummate cabinet making skills- Best
on the forum! (And I state that with sincerity and admiration, having cobbled a few cabinets in my time!) If there's a cubic centimeter of available space in his 'Pod, it's put to work! Good job, sir, and damn the Tupperware! Full speed ahead! (And I agree- If you want it done right, do it yourself!)

cooperdcrkey, I googled the address on the end of my factory tube and the company makes a replacement tube for the R pod that will hold the 15 foot hose and ends, I can't remember the price but I think it was under 40 bucks. I installed the new one about 1 foot back from the front of the pod, it works perfect for the longer dump tube.

Thanks for the tip!
Just curious, can you install the new tube and still keep the factory installed one? I ask because I use the stock tube to store a couple of hitch-related items, and it is quite handy for that purpose.

To answer your question, yes. We have both tubes installed. I use the shorter one for my rubber coated fishermans gloves for working with the sanitation items. Hoses, etc. Had the longer one installed just behind the original one from the factory. We are heading out for our first 2013 trip in 3 weeks. Counting the minutes. Safe Travels.

Camper Bob is right. you can leave the factory tube and mount the new one between the frame rails about one foot back from the front frame rail. be careful of gas lines and electrical wiring. I removed the short tube to save weight. the mounting brackets on the replacement tube are a little short to mount on the center of the side frame rails. I built spacers to go between the factory frame rails and the mounting ears on the replacement tube. drill pilot holes and then use self tapping metal screws.

I essentially did the same thing. Pics are posted here on this site but couldn't locate the post ???
I got the e-mail address of the company who made the factory tube. I bought the 48" length tube. I went to ACE Hardware and bought a piece of right angle (steel). Had to drill a few holes but got the new 48" tube mounted directly under the battery area and about even with the front edge of the Pod. Now I have the shorter factory tube that holds the shorter section of drain hose and the 48" tube that holds the 15" hose plus a clear connector/adapter so that I know when the tank is running "clear".
