Hey all,

Been lurking here for a while and hope to be a contributor. This certainly feels like a community!

We get our 176 in early April and here’s to hoping this darn snow is gone by then!!

Cheers,
Dave

Welcome to the forum, you are not alone with all the snow there are other members from Canada and the upper United States. Living almost my entire life in south Florida I find it interesting to see the pictures of R-pods buried in snow. Hopefully April will bring you better camping weather.  David and Danette

Glad to have you aboard!  Congratulations on your 176.  Hope you have many fond memories with it as you travel.  Yes, the snow.  We were so excited as a good amount of snow was melting (we are about 80 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge between Lake Michigan and Torch Lake.  Anyway, just over a week ago we were blessed with another 12" of snow.  Melt has been slow with highs only in the low to mid 30's.  The people who do maple syrup are loving it however as it is perfect weather for sap collecting, sunny and above freezing during the day and 15-20 degrees at night.  Hey, good news, first day of spring, TOMORROW, podding is just around the corner.Thumbs Up

We've already booked camping for May long weekend and well into the summer. Even though it's the first day of spring it feels so far away!

Indeed, we are bringing our 177 out of the horse barn this weekend before the frost comes out, otherwise we may get stuck, even with 4WD to retrieve it.  Hopefully we can get thru the 2 foot drifts, still a fair amount of snow here as well.  Just reserved a getaway at Fisherman's S.P. near Charlevoix, for the last weekend of April, it is along Lake Michigan.  Most likely will still be cold, but it is time to CAMP.

Hey NAP1947,

We are in Kanata so I suspect not far from you.

We also purchased from Travel-Mor! Great experience so far.

Nice to know there is a member near by.

Have you decided where you will be storing it? I don’t have the luxury of space on my property so I am going to use a self-storage facility to park the Pod.

It is it is all relative, we are at the end of the Dunrobin Road in Crown Point.
We plan to use self storage as well, have not looked yet as we are planning a big downsize move next year and will need space for that which we cannot yet part with.  Hope get a 10 foot door so can keep the pod inside as well.
