Good day fellow Pod'ers. So while parked in the driveway in between adventures,
the CO sensor seems to start going off randomly. Is this related to the battery draining? It does not do this when plugged into AC power. Any help would be appreciated before I cut the damn thing out  .PS. We are new to the R-Pod, only one trip thus far. Thank you

It likely is because of the battery, but it could be a bad sensor or, you don't say how old your pod is, it could be expired. Those things are only good for 5 years and then need to be replaces.
And for what it's worth, it's a CO detector. It's carbon monoxide that can be deadly. TT |

Does the sensor also detect propane?
Also, sensor will go off when it becomes underpowered due to battery drain. Sensors are always on, so they drain batteries. I suggest adding a battery cut-off switch.

We had an issue with ours. It wouldn't stop beeping regardless of what the battery level was. Even the re-set didn't work. Since it was driving us nuts I just cut the ground wire right at the inline connector. That fixed that for the short term but we have since replaced it with a new one and no beeping.....so they can be faulty!

The CO/propane detector will run the battery down fairly quickly, within a couple of weeks.

I would say this - if the never do it on shore power the sensor is good, if they do it on battery power the battery is low. What do you think?

I would think what I posted, that it's probably tied to the battery level. Being new to rv'ing I thought I would ask to make sure there wasn't possibly another issue. Sorry my question was too simplistic for you. Didn't know it had to be a mind bender for an RV forum.
