Calendar Event: The Fridge isn't Cold Posted: 23 Jul 2017 at 9:03pm |
I think you and furpod may. E onto something Jato, I just realized I have NEVER heard the fans com on with our fridge. Now I have to figure out where the temp sensor is. There is on inside the fridge that is attached to the fins, but I did see some actual coils in there so I will look for a sensor attached. Also saw some red wires going to some fins at the very top.
You remember what the sensor looks like? May find one on line.
Thanks!

Thank you so much! So you move that switch about an inch to the right? Just past the end of the coils at the highest point?
The Fridge has a single fan now which is fine, but we never have never heard it turn on. I noticed the fridge has a thermistor IN the fridge on the coils/fins, but it is screwed down, not adjustable like on some Dometic fridges I have seen on YouTube.

You will indeed find it by tracing those red wires to the end and thereby locate the sensor. JandL has a couple of great pics showing what it looks like in his earlier post that he lists above.

Thanks guys, I found it thanks to the pics. Now I just need to figure out where to move it. Ordered an IR thermometer to see if it's any hotter just to the right of the fins. Will test with a lighter shortly to see if I can get it to come on.

You can test the fan by takeing the wires off the sensor and put the two wires together if the fan starts it's good and the sensor is not

I tested mine with a heat gun and infared heat sensor, it turns fan on when it closes with heat. If you bypass sensor fan will come on, sensor is bad if it does not close with heat.
