I notice the emergency exit window is different from the adjacent one. Are the little holes on the bottom designed for water drainage? Also, that one is a little tight to open..any solution? And I'm guessing in an emergency, one would raise the 2 red handles and push out. Right?

If you are talking about the slots on the bottom on the outside, yes, they are for drainage. If you look at your other windows, they should also have slots at the bottom on the outside.
In an emergency, you are correct that you raise the two red handles and push the window out. The window will pivot at the top but stay attached. You don't need to worry about it falling down onto the ground. I wouldn't open it that way regularly, but I did so to test ours. As for tightness, I'm ot sure. It may loosen up with use. |

Stephen, I am NOT talking about the 2 slots on the bottom of all windows. Those are for water or condensation drainage? I was referring to two additional holes inside the slots on the emergency window only. They are triangular shaped cuts in the rubber you can see from the outside, and you can see daylight from the inside, a small hole...

henryv,
I know what you're talking about. There are v shaped notches in the seal itself. I still haven't figured out the purpose. I can't see light thru them. |

I can't run outside and look because our 179 is at the factory for repairs. I'll have to look for those when we pick it up.

We use the emergency escape window for additional ventilation. My wife made a fabric bug screeen with velcro around the perimeter. We open both red handles and push the window out about 8". we prop the window open with a 8" piece of pvc conduit. the open window provides a lot more open ventilation than when the window slides open half way.
