Believe me, its not that I'm qualified for "Tech Guru", its been thrust upon me !!
The 30lb LP tank looks impressive !! Same foot-print, more LP.
I believe that 2-20lb tank Mod is in our future.
The 2 battery Mod is also on the list. Keeping on eye on hitch/tongue weight too.
We're considering have the local Dealer handle both.
Hopefully somewhere in this process "security" issues will be considered.
Great Pics !!! Thanks for sharing ....

I like the tall propane tank!

Tidalwave
I haven't taken any trips yet; but the chains must be working because they are still here. Thanks for the offer of the vinyl coated chains; PM me and I'll give you my address to send the vinyl coated chains to.

How many trips have you taken since you put on the chains? I was wondering how much wear you might be getting between steel and plastic...and if you have noticed any wear on the LP tank. Battery boxes are pretty cheap to replace...but I would hate to have any wear on the steel of the tank? I can pick up chain that has a poly coating or a poly tube that would probably stop any wear between the chain and the tank (or would that be 'belt and suspenders'?).

Keen eyes there Tusten Traveler. This is a 30 pound tank. Same size in diameter as a 20 pound lp tank.

What size LP tank is that? It looks taller than the one that came with the Pod (or is that just the camera angle)?

Good idea. To many 5 finger discount shoppers out there. I think your security chains would be helpful in the "mods" thread.

David; Yes I drilled drain holes in the bottom of the battery boxes. I think this rainy season I might put duck tape over the vents when not using the pod and remove the duck tape when I go camping. We get lots of rain from May thru Sept..

Good idea. It's sad, but it doesn't seem as though we are safe anywhere. Have you had the problem of water collecting in the battery boxes? I did and drilled holes in the bottom for drainage.
Hope to see you "out there"

Last week I added 2 Interstate Type 24 batteries and decided I needed a way to secure them to the pod. I used to do alot of tree stand hunting and have the chains and turn buckles I used to secure the tree stands to a trees. Also at the same time I added a chain to the propane tank. I used 4 keyed alike locks to secure all items. Already used a pad lock to secure the coupler.

Couple lock
I once had an outboard motor stolen off my boat in the side yard and every since then I'm really security concious.
