Looking forward to Friday when I become a new rpod owner.  Any tips or mods anyone would like to share about their rpods, especially 178 owners?

Welcome to the group!! Congrats on your 178!! I would recommend getting a very thorough walk thru, having the tech, demonstrate everything. The fridge/stove/ac/furnace/tv/entertainment system and video the demo. It is a lot of info to try to remember.

I just bought a 178 and had a good walk thru at the dealer, but I expected it to have a manual for more detail. It doesn't. It comes with a general manual and not specific to the model, so I have questions about how to operate things. Like there is an on/off switch on the panel as you enter the door. Not sure what this is. Maybe for the power to operate the water pump?? I haven't done anything with that since it is still winterized. The slide and radio/tv works without it on, so maybe someone can tell me.
I do love it and looking forward to use it, but first I have to learn how to tow it and back it up!

Switches are labeled, that one is probably the porch light.

Congratulations on your 178.  Hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed ours.  The on-off switch inside and to the left of the door ..... operates the outside light.

Congratulations on your new 178.  I hope you have a great summer podding with it.  Also in terms of a Manual bikeella is right....the dealer supplied copy doesn't really do it....but....on this forum there is a Manual for Pods that has been painstakingly complied by one of the forum Stalwarts....find a post by Techentrek and look to his signature.   You'll see the link.

FarmerFam,

I have a 2015 178. Mod wise:

Insulated the rear window with foil sided insulation cut to fit.
Rear wire shelf over the bed.
Door window.
MaxAir vent cover over the bathroom vent fan.
Corner wire shelves in front over dinette.
12 volt DC gauge, USB and lighter ports in dinette seat panel on the door side.
Stove cover.
Electric Jack.
Aframe storage rack w/Generac generator.
Solar powered security lights.
CAMCO 4 port propane tank adapter that allows propane accessories to be connected to propane also an aux propane tank connection.
Friction anti-sway bar.
Screened in the fridge vents to keep daubers out.
Pahaque visor shade (no dome).
Battery disconnect.
Carlisle D-rated tires.
Bolted the tank support beams thru frame.

A lot of other bolt on and added stuff readily available.
