On 06/25/2016 my wife and I purchased an R-pod 180 from AOK Campers in Laurie, MO. The sales lot was full of buyers; including someone from Utah picking up his new R-pod 178. He informed us the prices at AOK were better than anywhere else he had queried. He made his purchase via the internet. We were promptly and professionally waited on; including having all of our questions answered. We were treated like the only buyers on the lot. After agreeing on a ridiculously low price our R-pod was ready to roll. The AOK staff had it cleaned, prepped and fully serviced. We have very little free time due to demanding day jobs; consequently, we have only taken the camper out twice thus far. We are novices, but thanks to YouTube the learning curve is not too steep. Before buying the R-pod our idea of 'roughing it' was spending the weekend at a Holiday Inn Express. Both of our excursions were close to home. We live along the I-70 corridor in mid-MO, so our inaugural outing was to Arrow Rock State Park. We had a wonderful experience. The only problem we encountered was the 'stick on' bathroom mirror fell off during transit and shattered. Our second and final trip this year was to Mark Twain Cave and Campgrounds. Our stay happened to be on the same week as a Steampunk festival in Hannibal, MO. We knew nothing about these neoclassical time travelers, but had a fun time people watching. On this trip my 20 foot electrical cord was about 2 feet shy. Thank goodness the campers we were with, my brother and sister-in-law, had an extension cord. As we were leaving the hitch mounted sewage pipe storage system door broke when I retrieved the pipe to 'off load.' I am beginning to see a pattern here i.e. something breaks on every trip. I guess an outstanding camping trip will be when nothing breaks and everything works as expected. We are looking forward to a trip next July in CO. I look forward to learning from all of you seasoned R-podites.
