Topic: Transport new rpods Posted: 27 Oct 2016 at 11:30am |
May seem like a silly question. I assume they transport new rpods to the dealers on some sort of flatbed? Anybody have an answer or better yet a picture? I can't say I have ever seen campers of any kind "in transport " how many pods to a truck? Thanks

Many pictures have been posted of rpods in transit. They do in fact usually go by flatbed, 3 to a trailer. But I have seen them leave in singles too. There is currently a shortage of transport drivers.. You may have seen RV's in transit and not realized it. Most drivers are just regular Joe's with a 1 ton truck, making some extra cash.

Furpod. Thanks for posting the picture. Smaller tow rig than I had pictured in my mind. I still find it strange that I have never seen a rig transporting campers of any kind ever. Cars,Boats, golf carts and trailers but never campers.

Well, come to think of it I've never seen a flat-bed 18-wheeler loaded with campers either. I would imagine the "big ones" are delivered one at a time. Say a car-carrier full of Corvettes the other day though :)
