We just completed our maiden voyage in our 171. Drove about 6 miles on a dusty Forest Service Rd. and when we arrived at our campground were surprised to find a fine layer of dust covering the interior of the pod. Windows and vent were all shut tight. Anyone else have this experience? Any suggestions?

We had that happen towing down a dusty road in Vermont. The tech at our dealership told us to crawl under the pod with a can of spray foam and spray it around where any wires/pipes etc go through the floor. He added that it will also help if you are in an area with a lot of field mice.

Thanks. We'll give that a try. No dust got into the outside access storage so I'll start at the front.

I had dust show up in my 177 on the first trip on a gravel road.  That was last fall and I was using a catalytic heater so  had a roof vent and a window cracked open.  I found air coming out of the vent under the bathroom door.
When back home I removed the vent cover and saw that the drain pipes for the bathroom plumbing did not have any foam sealant around them.  I pulled the paneling below the door and used expanding foam around the pipes.
That has solved the dust and not doubt will help when running the heater since I won't have air being pulled in through those openings.
