We're picking up our new 179 on Saturday and we've heard that we will probably need a foam mattress topper. Any ideas on what type of foam to use? Is it true that memory foam gets harder at lower temperatures? Thanks Derek.

We used a 3" foam topper at first and still found it way to soft for me so we replaced the original (unless) mattress with this 9" memory foam mattress and could not be happier.

As far as it getting too firm when it gets cold, I haven't noticed anything like that. If it does then it's TOO cold for me to go camping.

In our fifth season with the original mattress, and it finally got to where we wanted to replace it.  I ordered one of the above and it will be here Monday.
