If the problem is just brightness, not color temperature, you could tape over a portion of the LED array. Use non-conductive opaque tape, not metal foil. Test for heat issues with the tape used.

I taped "color correction gels" (red or amber, taped over the LED panel inside the light) on the light just as you enter and the light over the bed on my 178. Does not attract bugs as you enter and also they help with night blindness.

Several owners have frosted the inside of the lens. Squeeze slightly, slide away from the center

Ok, so my 2016 Rpod 179 has the LED interior lighting.  I'm not sure how to open to cover on these, I assume it slides off, but I'm afraid of forcing it, don't want to break the cover.  I know some people like the LED lights, but man oh man are they bright....!  I assume the individual lights inside cannot be changed, it looks like it's a square panel with 9 or 12 tiny lights.  My question, can these be changed to a lower wattage or dimmed somehow?
